Go the cheapest route.

Graduating with a bunch of debt sucks, and trying to dig yourself out of debt on flight instructor pay sucks even more.

I went to a big state school and I wouldn't change that for anything. Best four years of my life.

Now I teach at a private university and it really saddens me when I think about my students who have probably accrued more debt by the end of their freshman or sophomore years than I did in my entire 4 years of in-state tuition. They have absolutely no idea what they are getting themselves into.
