I may have to have a mano-y-mano chat with who told you this privleged information.
As for the sked.....we fly a few more days than our counterparts at Brand X, Y and Z
....but we spend nights home in during the 12 day stretch. We as a company do the best we can to maximize the time in base for our guys/gals. IMHO...I would rather work a majority of the 12 and be in and out of base then go away for 7-8 days at a time. Just my $.02!
