Do you remember a few years ago at JFK, there was an American that declared an emergency because of runway/winds? What ever came out of that if anything? If a guy at EWR can't accept the runway, are they just forced to divert?
I remember hearing something about it, but don't recall what happened in that case.
I've seen a force divert from EWR a couple times, though usually they'll try to work something out to avoid this.
