Just apply for one right away, add a cover letter requesting priority in processing due to upcoming important travel on 123 date to some ABC place for XYZ reason.
When your application reaches the DHS, you will recieve a Notice of Action form informing you that your application has been recieved.
When you go to interview, tell them you have already applied for your travel document & you expect to recieve it with in a month or 2. Take the Notice of Action form with you, if they ask proof of applying, show them that form.
By the time you go through the interview process & then if hired, the training will take maybe 2 months. You will have your travel doc by then. Since your company does not have any international destinantions like Canada or Mexico, you should be OK.
For future, always apply 3-4 months prior to expiry, along with a copy of existing, that will help speed up the process for you.
Thank you very much, this is exactly what I will do.
