Prior to the publication of the hit list, the company issued a new seniority list. On the seniority list were the guys in the new hire classes who had not yet begun sim training. I was told this inclusion was at the insistence of the EXCO.

The new hires were on the hit list so they were furloughed IAW the contract rather than just cut loose. That is a little ray of sunshine, I guess, albeit a dim, weak ray that barely manages to shine.
