The June 2008 agreement covered only 205 jets with the ability to reduce to 190 and in 2010 an expanded agreement was reached to cover another 22. Currently for United I believe XJTs operating around 249 ERJ-135/145s on the L-XJT side and another dozen or so CRJ-200s operating on the L-ASA side.

I’m sure someone can dig up more but these aircraft are being flown under agreements that UAL will have to buy SkyWest Inc. out of. Just as with Delta, UAL will package these E-170/175s and CRJ-700/900s with long term contracts in order to cut 50 seaters. More than likely at a 2:1 ratio (2-50s for 1-51+). IMO the current RFP is being used to determining Fair Market Value which will be used in these negotiations.
