This.. I can understand having a stressful day in the summer while flying with just a student or yourself in the military..... but when you're out there in DCA or CLT and it's 98 degrees, you're single PACK, full boat, and you got an ENG fire on the roll, things get hot as hell and very stressful fast. People smell fire and they start running all over eachother and screaming, you're sitting there trying to get the checklist done..

No my friend, I just didn’t go into that much detail. If XJT parks 150 E135/145s and receives 75 E170/175s in return that's a net loss of around 75 frames with around 100 E-145s remaining in service. Which is about the number of XRs you have and those are darn good airplanes.

Of the 90ish at SkyWest Airlines we'll park 30-40 and they'll be replace by 15-20 51+ seat jets which is only a loss of 15-20 frames, we can absorb that. The bulk of the cuts will come from XJT but won’t come all at once. It will be over the next 2ish years which will allow for attrition to mitigate the loss in frames.

This question is like asking which sinking ship you want to goto. Both airlines have nothing but 50 seaters. You are honestly probably better off going to MESA as much as it pains me to say it. XJT/Skyw Inc has absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to the pilot shortage. There are plenty of 50 seaters to retire if no one shows for class. On the other hand if you enjoy flying to victorville then XJT is perfect for you.

Oh ya and screw the hat! It is a pointless piece of the uniform that makes you look like a freaking bell boy not a pilot.

Don't get me wrong, many of my buddy's ***** about it...they aren't always happy. What do pilots military or civilian pilots like to do? *****! That's what we did in ready rooms...a lot!!

I wouldn't say military guys, especially the pilots are necessarily tough but they are used to certain things and know how things could be worse as they've been there. I'm certainly not tough but for example, after sitting in a cockpit, on the carrier deck, in the Persian Gulf, in August, with jets turning, no APU on, no air, unless the cockpit is on fire, it doesn't get hotter than that I think. But we pilots ***** regardless...seems quite a bit on this site
