I have heard of some guys saying they fly a real airliner because of the location of the under-wing mounted engine. Seriously? It is actually quite comical! So somebody should inform all of the Delta and AA mad-dog drivers that they are not flying a real airliner because their engines are located aft of the wing.
Come on guys!! Who cares! It is more important to base your career off of pay, QOL, benefits and the company that will provide the best possible movement so that you can MOVE on and OUT to a real airline! As for me, I have chosen not to upgrade at my current airline, which is NOT the best because of QOL. I am hoping that as the future opens up, as I have seen a handful of right seat to right seat movement that this trend will continue. So do not base your decisions on where the engine is, who cares! Base it off of QOL and pay, when it boils down to it, we all work for a REGIONAL Airline, oh, and the 170-175 is still and will always be a REGIONAL jet not a transitional jet!! Who came up with that!?
