There's always always going to be the exception. In the decade I've been commuting I've only had problems a handful of times, and only one was from flight crew. Most of the time the flight crews (thanks Skywest) go out of their way to help. My problems stem from gate agents. I have to say though, I wouldn't want their job. Some passengers will complain about the the littlest things in their quest to get travel vouchers. Most of them keep a diary of events to cover their a$$.
