Combine in some of the work rules like DH and cancellation pay and it's even more money.
Year 3-8 FO pay rates are $2-10hr higher as well. Figure an extra $1000 a year for each $ an hour.
BTW, the pay rates on this website for SkyWest are about 2 years old.
True, but the first year pay sucks, especially in training, and that would be a tough pill to swallow form someone who recently just went through that with a different carrier.
I think SkyWest will have to improve that first year pay or offer some kind of bonus to attract the amount of applicants they are going to need in the coming months.
If they do, Republic and Eagle, etc will have a big problem on their hands.
