Another statistical loss we've endured is the last 200ish guys that took the latest early out. Almost every one was a fNWA wide body guy, and almost every one of those were DPA supporters. Their active DPA cards had to be thrown out when they retired.

I don't think you're meaning to do this, but you've kind of insulted most DPA supporters that I know. You're making it sound like this is an anger based and emotional decision...which I know is a major DALPA talking point. The drive for an independent union has nothing to do with the latest rounds of displacements or "lighting fuses". We had over 5,000 DPA cards before this latest realization that we're still shrinking.

The independent union drive is mostly about the behavior of DALPA/ALPA. DPA wouldn't have a single card if ALPA/DALPA was behaving like a union looking out for the jobs of those they represent. When ALPA signs documents without our guys present, actively outsources jobs, redefines permitted flying (and DALPA says nothing), that's the trigger to this. ALPA/DALPA's actions haven't lit a fuse, their actions have sealed their fate.
