As far as experience - - I've taken MANY people to the sims with NO flight experience at all and had them fly the sim under the Coronado Bridge in San Diego. Amazing what they could do when they didn't have to worry about flying the sim *correctly*. Just set the throttles and point. Easier than parallel parking!

Granted. But, you were talking them through the maneuver, yes? Why almost every theory that doesn't tow the government line is labeled a conspiracy is somewhat baffling. Next time your in the sim, get yourself a low time Private pilot in the left seat and have him give it a try. You can even talk him through it and I think you will find yourself in a pickle. The precision needed is uncanny. Heck, try it yourself.
