Default Internation/Oceanic confusion???

Does "International/Oceanic crossing experience mean "And/Or"? According to the pilot hiring hot-line, you MUST have "PIC or SIC time in transport category aircraft in trans-oceanic operating experience."

I've been desperately waiting to apply, but only have International experience, not Oceanic crossing. 6000 TT, 3500 Turbine PIC, 1300 Jet PIC, all part 121, yet it sounds like I may not be qualified. Do I check "yes" because I have international experience (Canada), and defend my answer later? Or am I setting myself up for failure claiming something I do not have (trans-oceanic)?

If you read this literally, it would rule out 20 yr experienced pilots at most major/national airlines. For example, Alaska Airlines flies from Barrow AK, to Cancun Mexico. That's international, but not Oceanic... Are they being too picky, or am I being too literal?

It is the last question to get to page one of the app....
Do you have International/Oceanic crossing experience as either PIC or SIC?
