So I think your right about it being extremely competitive. If you look at what a regional Captain makes, take home after taxes, it is very comparable to what someone makes on a full welfare package. That said, I can never understand why anyone would want to take a job as a flight attendant, when welfare pays solidly more money, and you're home every night.
