The reference Jet Link posted was NOT directly from ALPA, it was directly from LOA 25 of the JCBA, and dealt specifically with Section 5 (whoring during furlough) of L-CAL and L-UAL line values.
I am not disagreeing that L-UAL pilots at L-CAL SHOULD have the right to be recalled in place, it is the fact that options are missing for those (like V/F pilots due return rights) who might PREFER not to forfeit the options they are owed.

I agree. I'm not saying you shouldn't get your rights. I'm just saying that when they say "recall in place" you don't have a choice. You are back. You still get whatever rights you had, but you can't defer, etc and say "I'll come back later" because you are back.
Both the MEC update as well as an upcoming Furlough Update (probably this weekend) is going to cover this in detail.
603 pilots will be immediately and involuntarily "recalled" overnight and whatever they agreed to give them should happen.
But they won't have the option to "defer" because they are already back as United Pilots.
