How is the flying on the 700/900? Longer trips / fewer legs per day? I imagine that a PHX base will likely be flying out West, while the others stay in the North-East.

How likely is it to get a line quickly at the various bases, also which bases are rather junior right now?

Lastly, what kind of travel benefits could I expect?

Appreciate the info.
*Hawaii = tough to break gaurantee (8 leg days) longest leg is like 1/2 hour. Very small operation

*Best flying is PHX/West Coast (USAir CRJ900) however the base is dwindling and Super-Senior. You will only see the base during training your IOE "if then" and possibly any carpet dance you might have with the CP? ;-)

*Other good flying is ORD (United CRJ700) trips, longer legs, better overnights, younger crews. United system is terrible however...

*IAD (CRJ700 United) and CLT (CRJ900 USAir) provide the best and most productive shots for Newhires to obtain a line or at least get flying while on RSV.

*Every new hire chooses CLT until they get over the "900."
The east flying varys greatly with a mix of east coast, west coast, short and longish. (20mins to 2:40Hrs.) CLT-GSO vs. CLT-OMA

*On Reserve(RSV) at any base you will never break guarantee.

*Hawaii (HNL,KOA) Bases are most junior, closely followed by IAD. (because everyone knows Dulles just sucks and costs as much as Hawaii)

*Benefits on UAL and USAir pretty immediate with option to add family etc.
