What exactly does he get - the lack of accountability for their own operation? Or the delusional mindset that their services are so invaluable that they can do no wrong and their partners wouldn't dare explore alternate operators?
All I read in that post was "It's not our fault we struggle in DFW..." and "Hey everyone, come see how good we look (in an Anchorman voice)" while sticking his nose up even higher in the air.
We're all replaceable. Let's not forget that.

You're a joke, dude. I'm based in DFW, I see the problems firsthand. I've taken videos of the long delays waiting for rampers to park us. They push a jet back then disappear for 20 (or more) minutes, then come slowly meandering back after the third call to Ramp.
I've talked to Envoy's ground managers, they absolutely understand that their rampers possess zero sense of urgency. When I worked ramp back in college, there would have been hell to pay if we weren't in place waiting when the jet showed up. At DFW, we arrive to a vacant ramp far more often than not. They know we're coming, there is zero excuse for it.
But I understand why it's happening. They're paying those rampers barely above minimum wage--that is, not enough to give a rats arse. Hustle costs extra, and American isn't paying for that.

Where in the hell do you think flying is gonna go to? EVERYBODY is struggling to attract pilots or keep the ones they have...everyone. Every regional is either shrinking, struggling to keep up, or flat out circling the drain. Who's replaceable? Your pilots? You can't be serious. the pilot pool has dried up. And you guys are the cheapest carrier...you can only go up from where you're at. AA's gonna take your planes? And go where?
Voting yes...

What I'm trying to say is that if we all take accountability for our own performance without blaming another, the world would be a better place. We can ALL do better. Am I right or wrong on that front?
...now I just sound like a hippie.

Mod Note:
You guys have managed to get this thread closed. There's so much flamebait, trolling, name calling, outing, self-outing, teenage angst, emotional inadequacies, pimple outbreaks, and what not that I can't begin to sort them out or give infractions.
Don't think I'm not keeping an eagle eye on things. If the same cast of misfits come back with a new Mesa thread (or go to any other existing thread) and behave in the same way, THEN I will exercise my moderator authority and inch my mouse towards the, uh, BAN button. How about that?
In the meantime, I would like anyone who posted in the last 30 pages of this thread to send me a PM and prove to me that you have only one account on APC and that you will stop with all this childish behavior. If you don't send me that PM, I will assume you no longer want your account(s) and I'll get rid of them for you.

So far so good. I forgot to say that I'm going to let everyone have a chance to send me that PM, after which I will evaluate what's what. Even though you guys spend a disproportionate amount of time on APC, I appreciate the fact that once in a while, you might actually be working!
I make lists. So I have a list going of everyone who has sent me a PM. It's still early days. I'm going to marinate some chicken for dinner tonight. Will be back in a few hours. Say, if you are in Seattle right now and have no friends and would like a home cooked meal, send me a PM!
I'll get mr. vagabond to pick you up (assuming you are near the airport).

Ok, it's been almost exactly 24 hours. Time sure flies when you're around pilots.
This PM request has been quite a revelation into your minds, feelings, perspective and motivations. I must say I'm touched by some of the things you said. In 8 years as a moderator, I've received more than my fair share of nonsense and vitriol. The only thing I haven't got were threats of bodily harm. The set of PMs that flowed into my Inbox last night and into today were quite interesting, some bordering on sweet.
So, here are the statistics.
72 unique users posted in the last 30 pages.
18 people sent me a PM.
2 of the 18 expressed a desire to leave our little community, even though my request was for a PM indicating you want to stay.
15 of the 18 correctly stated that it was not possible to prove the negative, but here's the PM anyway.
1 of the 18 griped and whined, but did not say whether he/she is in or out.
I see that a new Mesa thread has been started. I had to clean it up some, but it sure looks good. So good that I don't find it necessary to reopen this one. As always, you are encouraged to send me your best argument as to why I should reopen this one. I spend a lot of my time listening to arguments from parties, so yours will get in the queue. No pushing and shoving.
My chicken dinner turned out great, as usual. Shame nobody sent a PM. I mean, mr vagabond was going to pick y'all up and bring you back here for a home cooked meal. When was the last time y'all had a home cooked meal? In any event, I am having home made crepes (both savory and sweet; Normandy style not Breton), home made yogurt and home brewed espresso for brunch on Monday, the 27th. After that, we are off to BOI for the Basque Festival.
I have to go. My little dog has business to attend to.
