Probably need a new head of maintenance, I can't believe how few basic parts aren't in base and we take 3 hour delays waiting on them to be flown in.

I was thinking about e-mailing ALPA about this to see if there has been at least some communication by the pilot group regarding this issue. But then I figured that would more than likely be a huge resounding no.

It looks like I'm going to need an iPad as I just accepted a position at Mesa. Any recommendation on which one to get?

Get the one that best fits your budget. You can get the lowest and cheapest model (used iPad 2, 16 GB) for around $120 on eBay.

Or you can get the latest model (new iPad Air 2 64GB) for $600.

I use an iPad 2 16GB and it's perfectly fine for daily jepp usage and PDF viewing.

It wouldn't surprise if ALPA were engaged telling management about what is really going on out on the line. It also wouldn't surprise me if management told ALPA to keep their opinions to themselves. Good thing I can just drive up to Dallas for the race weekend at TMS and not worry about non-reving.

Ditto. And when crew tracking calls me, I answer and say, "please hold", then go back to what I was doing.
