2) Give 3x to 5x credit for any 91/135/121 turbine PIC or any military hours (including rotor)

3) Give 2x to 3x credit for 91/121 turbine SIC

4) Give 1.5 to 2x credit for CFI dual given

Or something like the above. In retrospect--now that I'm flying with new hires in the right seat on a daily basis--it was a highly irrational decision for the final rule to quantify all flight time as equal. While I understand the restricted ATP provides credit for slightly more rigorous training, the idea that all 1,500 hours are the same is absolutely absurd.
You care to explain some of the problems you've been having with fos?

What are the facts? You don't know and the media surely doesn't know either! Typical.
Well, I read the release to see if anything was inop at takeoff and to see how senior the crew was. It also contains the landing data for wet and dry runways. I read the weather and looked at radar for that time. I looked at the flightaware tracks to verify the medias report about which runway they used. I read the news reports to see if any info came out with in those (pilot telling pax it was due to wind as reported by two separate news articles is fairly significant). Several tidbits of info.

Where someone like me only with 1,000 hours with no turbine experience at all only took 26 hours to get off IOE.
Because having a degree in aviation has anything to do with flying skills and decision making ability?

Not at all, you have to look at it from a airlines "disaster" point of view. If something were to go wrong and it was all over the news which would look better? A 3 month ATP wonder pilot with only a high school diploma? Or someone who has a degree or a degree in the filed of which they work that gained all if they're flight experience in a structured 141 college training environment.

You mean a degree in the "field"? That degree really taught you to spell and proof read eh?

And they're? You mean their?

Comon bro

Aviation degrees are worthless. At least my degree allows me to have a successful side business.

Just woke up and typed that on my phone from the hotel in Mexico. Please forgive me and my phones auto correct. I hope you can one day move past this one day and sleep easy tonight knowing that you have corrected my spelling and grammar errors on an online Internet forum.

Most of these kids who talk trash would never do so face to face. I don't know if I would be surprised or very disappointed to know who these people are in real life. I can literally count on one hand the "jerks" at Mesa, they are very few and far between.

I also find it funny that the one person at Mesa who WILL trash talk you to your face, and even try to get you in trouble, acts like a gentleman on this forum with very thought out posts backed up with facts. Go figure...
