Next, to answer some of your questions, I personally don't commute to ANC, but I live in the ORD area. I looked up our RFD-ANC-RFD, and what I found out is that they run 5x a week, no weekends, on a 767, and the sampling of flights that I did showed no jumpseaters. There is only 1 flt a day on this route. I have noticed that sometimes a 747 is scheduled to go ANC-ORD-SDF, but I'm not sure how long this will last. I may have been a short stint thing because I have not seen it lately.

ORD id a very reasonable backup. FX, Kalitta, NWA Cargo, and possible Polar fly between these cities. I know some of our pilots use FX out of ORD going to ANC.
