I realize you don't have the contract yet(or the job) but if you miss a flight d2 a cancelled UPS j/s, you lose the value of that trip, but cannot be disciplined. That said, if you are on probation, most if not all protections of the contract do not apply. Early arrival at the domicile is definitely better than trying to explain yourself to an ACP. If you are headed to ANC to start a reserve period and can't get on the j/s for whatever reason, a tactical sick call maybe your best bet. Not that I've ever done that....Good luck with the process.
