Mesa has about 290 active FO's (according to ALPA) now add 350 additional pilots to cover expansion, another 100 or so to cover 117 then add two years worth of attrition...he may be in CLT but that guy won't see third year FO pay unless he chooses it.

We've got ~650 active pilots now if you count instructors, people in class and on IOE. So exhibit "A" would theoretically get number 651 if he gets hired today, right?
Now lets put another 350 pilots under him as you spell out for expansion, and even another 100 to cover 117. Now he's number 651 out of 1100 pilots. Theoretically Captains will represent the first 550 pilots, FO's the last 550. So lets say the most junior CA is 600 just cause not all FO's upgrade.
Now attrition. Lets say 10 a month for 2 years equals 240 pilots. So now after 2 years he's 651 minus 240 = 411 out of 1100 pilots. Oh wow!, you're right - he WILL be a Captain in under 2 years.
