A pay raise doesn't always make up for QOL improvements a pilot group may feel are more important. Just because you make a little more money doesn't mean your QOL won't suck.
So to answer your question more clearly for you. NO, I don't think not having a pay raise is a concession so long as I get something else in return.My opinion only!!!
