The views of over **** pilots from *** must be articulated to the new MEC in a clear and concise manner. We must work together with our L-UAL brother and sisters, while advocating for Continental pilots when necessary. We have all seen the L-UAL representatives advocate for their pilots throughout the entire merger process and I fear that will not end with the combining of the MEC. A strong, rational representative voice is what you deserve and I will provide that."
He is just echoing what CAL pilots know and believe given JH and boys attempted change of the jumpseat policy...it will not end when the MEC combined. I agree with him...and the only way for CAL pilots to have any shot of true representation going fwd in the near future
is to ensure L-CAL bases reps stay L-CAL pilot...until/when we get rid of JH and leftovers. If he was the leader that wanted to bridge the two groups( given our scars) you wouldn't seek and petition the company to remove seniority for jumpseat purposes just days after the SLI was handed down. Something that will clearly advantage UA pilots and infuriated L-CAL pilots against the UA MEC.
