How you might ask?

They made promises to the Frontier pilots about how they would be integrated into the flying at UAL. The short story is it violated all seniority, DOH, and longevity principals ALPA stood for. These management people wanted the deal to go their way without negotiation and the UAL MEC would not play their game. They were willing to negotiate according to ALPA guidelines and not Management's.

But wait it gets worse! while the negotiations were in limbo the Frontier Management decide to shut the airline down and force the deal. What happened next was this; United Management said, "NO DEAL!" They were negotiating for an operating company not a parked one. According to Rakesh the restart-up costs were not worth the money now and they could get the airplanes (Frontier had already sold the best ones previously to UAL) on their own.

Capt. Billy was looking for blame and as always it was Management who was at fault!

Moral of the story? You want a destroyed pilot group leave it up to management to make it happen.
Interesting, thanks for the insight. Question though, if it was management making promises to the Frontier pilots and Roger Hall knew about it, why did he say he had their back when clearly he didn't and knew management had no intention of integrating the Frontier pilots?

It's obvious you are doing a character assination. The simple fact is the help was there until the Frontier Pilots tried to dictate the terms. I said the United Pilots were Boy Scouts not stupid. Guess your boy JP has learned that little lesson. You want to hold back with JP, I'd bet that island is going to be very lonely. Good Luck!

1. John, I was not talking to you and

2. Everyone knows your staller, although this name is more appropriate

John Hale (June 3, 1636 – May 15, 1700), commonly referred to as Reverend Hale, was the Puritan pastor of Beverly, Massachusetts, during the Salem witch trials in 1692. He was one of the most prominent and influential clergymen associated with the witch trials, and is most noted as having initially supported the trials, and then changing his mind, publishing a critique of them.

So maybe you will change your mind after your delusional episode and sing the praises of the CAL pilots.

I'm sure you're still upset about the SLI but to attack an x-UAL ALPA leader that has not been in an elected office for over 25 years is low for a guy that wasn't there. Especially using a rant written 25 years from a guy that couldn't deliver the goods to his pilots because of an overreach trying to do it - just like JP during SLI.
Then to attack a guy for calling you out with names of people that have been died for a few hundred years now. If you had gone down a couple of pages in your goggle search, you'd find other people with same name, but that's not you stile. Just like "Walkers rant" you chose for impact not substance. That's going to be a lonely island.

Whoa, first of all YOU were the one who said all UAL MECs treated everyone fairly since the Capital merger. You would be wrong as proven.

Second of all the rest of your post makes no sense, and obliterates the English language and is an embarrassment to all UAL pilots and I think I should remind you to take your THURSDAY medications because I know you get them mixed up some times.

Mods: Can we ban this guy again please? I think we all know who he is. It was quite a bit nicer without him.

And you the English major - I think you got the jest. The personal attacks on me are ok. You've learned the CAL way of attacking the person and not the issue. In no way did you disprove my initial claim that the UAL pilots are Boy Scouts. Just attacking the respondents - can't you do better than that?
