Oh well, the latest is the former UAL negotiating Committee Chairman that brought a concessionist deal to the UAL MEC and stated that "the MEC would be stupid to turn it down" is running for MC!

He brought this concessionist turd to the UAL pilots and they voted it down by 78 percent. He was recalled for cause subsequently and now he wants to lead us ?

To what? give more concessions?

I don't think so. What I am referring to happened in 2007.

The CAL MEC folks need to be educated about this individual though..

Not sure who you're talking about but if it's PW, he has absolutely no chance of ever being voted into an elected ALPA position. I wouldn't waste my time on this guy.

The initials would be TB.

Also, when he was recalled for cause, didn't even have the class to accept that he was out of touch with the pilot group. instead, cried in a 3 page manifesto about how his recall was all political..

Dang right, it was political for 78 percent of the pilots.

Still lost on this one but the rank and file will not vote for the new MC. It will be the elected LEC reps voting and if somebody that been recalled is in contention, he would likely not pass the sniff test.

What we need to do is elect LEC reps that want to move forward and not wallow in the atmosphere created over the past 3 years. There is a guy named Tony running for the Captain rep on the new east coast council that is openly running on a platform of division. We need to make sure that this attitude is not supported at any LEC elections. This is the only way to ensure that the best candidate for MC is elected. Our time to move forward.

Might I suggest if you start posting initials in an attempt to slander someone, you might want to post yours as well.

There was no slander. Just an attempt to educate.

Couldn't agree more.

Your methods of education wreak of past alpa politics. A practice that will ensure that future battles will never leave alpa circles when they need to be focused against the company. Imho of course.
