Im up in the air with this decision now. Please dont bash me for graduating at the right time, just want everyones honest opinion. Before all this news of the mins being lowered i was definetely goin to start my CFI, but now im having second thoughts. Any info would be helpfull, everyone i have talked to that was a CFI said they learned a ton and wouldnt trade it for anything. But, as far as the seniority thing, not doing CFI would benefit me tremendously. I just wonder if i will have the knowledge to pass the training at a Regional.
Yeah, I kinda feel bad for you guys, I would probably skip the cfi thing if I could, but it was the best flying I have ever done. It taught me a lot and I enjoyed having Dr's and Lawyers kiss my ass cause they new I was the only one getting them down safely on their first few flights haha. It was blast, soloing your first student, pretty great stuff, 121 is a job, its not fun flying, if you "love" to fly and thats all you really want to do, go do some BUSH flying in AK, until then, enjoy flying miserable PAX around for 20k a year, gusting to 35kts x-wind 200 overcast +RA TSVC and you nail it on the markers only to have the pax make rude remarks...................oh yea its so much fun
