You accrue 6 hours per month (normal rate).
If you have 4+ 'instances' per rolling 12 month period, your accrual rate is reduced to 5 hours per month.
If you had a 'negative sick bank' when the new contract started, they deducted another hour per month to 'pay it back'. So you could be down to 4 hours per month.
I believe it is the 5th "occurrence" that triggers the reduction in the accrual rate. I don't know, because, like our near-Vegan pal Oscar, I was fortunate enough not to be sick very often.
