what?

Jetuniversity and Gulfstream are very diferent.

Every pilot have their own way of finding what is best for them. I dont think I would have done any of those programs but I respect the ones that do as it is their careers and noone needs to put them down for doing what they think is the best to get forward. If you have an opinion and would like to help those pilots then you can advice with open mind and respect.

To get in to Gulfstream Academy you have to have more than 250 hours + multi time and be current on instruments. You are tested before allowed to start (I know, I am from Florida and been in contact with their former chief pilot many times as I was interested in a Captain position with them to be close to home) and when you go from Gulfstream to Pinnacle you have already achieved a lot of hours at Gulfstream and all their training. Secondly, I know for a fact that at least two of the guys starting this monday at Pinnacle have not only near 1000 hours of multi time but even more than 500 turbine hours and that is not something you find often among candidates for other regionals. I believe that Pinnacle is one of the few that really is interested in older Pilots with higher time in contrast to others that takes mostly 500 to 600 hours young guys or at least Pinnacle try to keep a mix.

Again, Pinnacle as all other Regionals are short of Captains and that will get worse. To hire pilots with 200 hours is no solution as it takes too long to upgrade them and during the time the shortage of Captains gets even worse so I do not see how they would be interested in that.

To say that other regionals find more experience pilots than Pinnacle is very far from reality.
