I would offer this bit of information. Your anger and lack of respect for your fellow aviators is embarrassing to watch. I am sure you are a good guy/gal and hope that all this message board stuff is just for show. Remember that you should believe NONE of what you hear, and half of what you see. Life is to short to make enemies. Pouring salt on old wounds is causing you pain, so kick back in your rocking chair, pop open a beer, relax and enjoy the life you have. I wish you the best.
I disagree with your post in a way. Allthough those mins posted are the actual posted ones, i was the lowest time pilot hired recently by mesaba of the ten that were hired. My pathetically low times were 1100 TT. So according to you XJ is hiring low timers. Maybe you should check in what is actually happening and not was is posted on a website. By the way I had a walk in too, and my resume has been sitting there for a while. I assure you that Mesaba is one of the most experienced airlines at the regional level, something the company has prided itself on.

Of course they have experienced pilots. They furloughed the most junior people and haven't hired anyone new in almost 2 years. And yes the posted times are what people can get hired on, and I am sure someone has gone there with that time, or less (look at this very board to read peoples post who have interviews, or have gotten hired).

Your date of hire at Pinnacle is when you pass your checkride. His date of hire was 2001...

That was only a couple of months after 9/11 when Pinnacle "furloughed" guys. He was on the street as an intern for 2 months.

Makes a big difference, doesnt it?

If you would like to know what is going on you should either wait for the NTSB to announce its findings or somehow get on the email list that the 9E pilots are on from ALPA regarding this crash. Pinnacle is a "party" in the investigation and has released info to us of who/when/how and yes it was a check airmen doing OE, it was late at night, and the weather was S*it. What was not released is what dispatch and the pilots knew about field conditions. i had many highspeeds out of DTW this past winter where pinnacle is the last airplane in for the night- and the tower had been closed. Dispatch would keep in touch with ground crews and keep the pilots informed on what was going on. Three times ( going into burlington, VT) dispatch would call them when we were 30 min out and the runway would get plowed and they would give us a report (happened 3 days in a row, I had the same highspeed). We would call up ops about 5 min out and make sure it hadnt changed. We don't know what happened up in TVC, I won't speculate, but when the facts are known I am sure they will be put up here. As far as Flaps50 and your rant- if you look at the NTSB safety report listings fedex has one of the highest incident rates compared to flights of any operator. My father is over there so I can't talk too bad, but yall have quite a few accidents. I will not argue that fdx has more experienced pilots b/c it is highly competitive over there. I don't like the 200 hour wonders, but there are only a handful of the 200 guys, there are many between 250-500. The difference is experienced captains. 3000TT keeps many guys who think they are ready at 1500 sitting in the FO slot learning for another year and a half before sliding over. I think extremely highly of Fedex, but it is also rather bothersome to have my current pilot group attacked when you are not aware of all the details. As I recall the crash of the -10 in mem a few years ago was a high time FO and check airman landing on a 10000+ foot runway with only a crosswind, they ended up off the runway and the plane burned to nothing. If you had people instead of boxes how many injuries/deaths would that have been? Now give me your response on what really happened there- I am just taking a page out of your book and playing the media with speculation...
