It sucks for you fighter guys right now in regards to UPS. It's not fair. But it also sucks for the regional guys and pretty much everyone except heavy mil and the ACMI operators. I agree that airline flying is about as easy as it gets.

What I think a lot of folks may be forgetting is that UPS is hiring those without the heavy, transoceanic experience. They just won't be going to the 747-400/MD-11.

And for the record I wanted bombers or the C-17, but they didn't have any at RODN so I chose tankers as my first choice. I even applied later on for the B-2 but was told "no thanks" because I lacked tactical experience. But I loved the tanker though. UPS knows that the current tanker drivers are CPDLCing themselves all around the world right now and they like it!
I don't even know what CPDLCing is! But, I'll put my 8.5 in a fighter up against a 13.1 where you can get up and walk around or lay down any day! Either way, it was good enough for Brown to call me! I've got a lot of good friends that fly tankers or other heavies and I'm happy for them. But none of the sh!t bags(bottom 3-4) from UPT tracked -38's and probably would have washed out back in the day, still made the cut... so I'm pretty confident I can handle the change to int'l ops.
