My understanding is that the applicant pool will be whittled down by some sort of algorithm, and then people will be individually contacted for an initial video interview, either by phone or email, probably the former.

I am sincere in wishing pilots good luck. AA is starting to blossom a bit, moving away from some nasty bad times, and morale is picking up for the first time in over ten years. We are a relatively older bunch, and people picked up in the early rounds of this hiring are going to be in a good position fairly quickly.
