remeber that aviation is not like the actors guild. you do not need a union card to get a job, but you will be expected to join the union once you get a job with a carrier with representation. aditionally, we don't have aprenticeships or union work halls like other trades do, and if you are employed by a union carrier you can go to work for a non union or different union carrier and then go back to your previous job or another one with the same or different union.
