Thank you for letting me know that. Yes, I talked to a place today called Fly-Right and i can get my Intial type and ATP for 16,000.00 and they are GI Bill qualified. They told me that Wheels up order something like 300 King Airs and they are hiring. The one thing they did tell me is that the King Air 300/350 type rating is a good one but throughout the community it was known to be one of the hardest, do you know if there is any truth to that?
I had only sat in one King Air cockpit prior to my interview ride in a King air 300, then went to the type rating course with SimuFlite (CAE) in Dallas/Ft Worth without having flown a turboprop (and in the civvie world to boot) for over 15+ years and I was able to make it through
They will teach you what you need to know. If you have KA time from the military (my sim partner was a two tour C-12 guy) - it was more lie a transition course for him. You'd be fine!
