Hey, I don't doubt your experience with it. All I can tell you is that I'm in a very large category, have flown with A LOT of pilots who support DPA, and I have yet to run into a single one who has said even one word about getting "f'ed" in the SLI and wanting to revisit that. To a man/woman, every DPA supporter I've run across is dissatisfied with ALPA in terms of their ability/plan to appropriately represent us and get our profession and our careers back on track.
I don't think the DPA is the answer for reasons I've long outlined, but my experience with DPA supporters is the same as you. Some like johnso wanted to see what they have to offer, never run into anyone that did it solely bc of the merger, and the rest have all been due to ALPA screwing the pooch on so many issues repeatedly.
