I just think before the "under two year upgrade fanatical ism" gets thrown around and discussed. You guys and gals should be patient and get the skill and experience before you jump to the left seat. It will come with time, it's a big jump over to a jet for some and there is a lot to learn.
2 years flying 800 to 900 hours each year as an FO in a 900 or 175. Thats ~1700 TJET SIC hours in a glass jet. Thats one hell of a good long learning curve. Plus CA training, which by the way, is a different ball of wax in terms of who they will pass. There isnt gong to be any talent crisis in the left seat over here.
Any military guys on here care to share how many years and hours you have to fly as FO in a two pilot advanced jet before you are allowed to be aircraft commander?
