12 month upgrade? Yeah like when I got hired at RAH in 2007 it was a 13 month upgrade. Flash forward 6 years later... right around the corner. Do you recall how long Mesa managed to keep those DL owned CRJ-900's operated by Freedom? Maybe a year at the most before Delta moved them to another DCI carrier. Just because Mesa has 175's coming owned by UAL, there is a ton of risk in that type of business.
I hope it all works out well for my humble friends at Mesa that have gone through seriously tough times. For you... I just pray you shut up and learn a bit from those guys over the next 12 months before you upgrade.
Barring some kind of unprecedented event like the Age 65 ruling that our generation endured, current projected upgrades will be pretty close if not spot on.
If you were hired at RAH in the first 11 months of 2007 you should be a Captain if you took first available. 6 year upgrade - 5 years Age 65 stagnation= 1 year true upgrade time. Still pretty much spot on as projected
