If you study, and use every resource available, and *know profiles/callouts* there's no reason why a 1500 hour flight instructor shouldn't get through.
The 1500 hour flight instructor that has nothing but 150 time and watches the student fly the airplane is going to have some trouble with the sim. Getting the profiles and callouts right makes sense to me. But in the sim things are happening faster and sometimes its hard to keep up. Im maintaining my stance that i believe an extra sim session or 2 is acceptable if thats what it takes to get someone on the line. My two cents. Take it or leave it.
I agree with you. My point is that someone with minimal glass/high performance/turbine, whatever experience still has a legitimate chance of making it through. Obviously one guy with 1500 hours may have a higher quality of experience than another; I'm simply saying that I've seen guys with mostly 172 time get through. I would hate for someone to avoid taking the next step in their career and trying their hand with mesa just because they think you need a silver spoon in your pocket experience wise.
