Default Airline apps question

In filling out Airline Apps, what do you put as the "date of issue" for your certificates? For example, would you put the original date that you got your CFI, or would you put the most recent issue date that is on your certificate (something within the last two years since you have to renew it every two years)? This issue would also come up with your ATP certificate when you get a new type rating and they issue you a new certificate to reflect the new type rating. Putting the date of issue that I have on my certificate makes it look like I just got my CFI a couple of months ago, but I have had my CFI for several years. If anyone has any guidance on this, I would appreciate it!
