Photo; Paul Mallen (and family) with his Premier 1 N50PM click here

Paul owned the jet, but it has not been released who was on board.

Aircraft departed runway 26 and immediately contacted the tower to state they 'had a problem' and were returning. Crew declined ATC's offer of emergency equipment.

N50PM was on approach to runway 26 and crashed about 3 miles east-north-east of the airport.

Crash site was reported as east of the intersection of Rutherford Ave NW and Lower Paul Road. West side is houses, east side are empty fields, a treeline, and a electrical power sub-station - electrical towers and power lines run along the east side of Lower Paul Road.

RIP condolences to the Mallen family and all affected by the loss of the two crew members.
