FF was worth it to me. i upgraded to the foreflight geo charts subscription. Once you fly with it you won't go back to the static version. You actually see the moving aircraft symbol moving in a realtime overlay on top of the approach plates, maps, and taxi diagrams. gives you real time SA, especially on IMC days. The only drawback is that it only available for IPads.
