Bad advice. There are lots of threads on lots of aviation forums on what happens when you are caught withholding information. Medical records are mostly computerized now, at least in the US, and you essentially waive all confidentiality vis-a-vis the feds when you sign the application.
Nothing much will happen until you have an incident and NTSB/FAA finds something you haven't reported. If you're not already blind, crippled, and dead then you will be - at least financially.
