As long as it's well-controlled (you're not having to use the inhaler) FAA isn't too worried, as least as of four years ago. There is an ongoing ISO 9000 initiative in Oke City, I'm told, that results in their asking for additional information sometimes, but I wouldn't be too concerned. Yes, it is controlled. The last inhaler I was prescribed actually expired before I even took it out of the box. That was about 3 years ago. I think I'm in good shape and if the FAA asks for some clarification I don't have any doubt I can pass some tests to prove I'm okay.
