The knock I heard on HPA (granted, this was from the gentleman who runs CPT) was that HPA doesn't care about you, it's just a business that wants your money. I found that to be not the case. From day one, HPA seemed to care a lot, including helping out with the GI Bill paperwork ahead of time. They are a business, sure, but they are very good at what they do.
Looking back though, I think more importantly is the airline ground school atmosphere and the connections I made with my classmates. I could have done a class of 4 guys from my squadron at CPT, but instead I now have a dozen friends from regionals and all branches of the military who I wouldn't have met before.
