I'm a Navy soon-to-be-retiring with about a year to go. I've got around 1800 hours with around 1000 PIC in P-3's and T-6's. Getting my ATP in a month or so. Standard question: how competitive am I for the majors? And is a year out sufficient time to be ready? I've been told my crew-based background in the P-3 will help, along with the multi-engine and having flown internationally. Honestly, what's my best bet here? Any advice would be great.
