Great advice above. Internal recs are particularly critical, even if it's just one per company. Recommend getting on LinkedIn and following the airlines you're interested in, then go through the "See How You're Connected" tab and find people you know, either directly or indirectly. Service Academy Business Resource Directory and search for fellow alums who work at the places where you want to get hired.
