No BS. It's a fact. In 2005, during negotiations, UPS had agreed to pay rates of XX+25. Then FEDEX ALPA opened with pay rates of XX. The NMB turned to UPS and the IPA with that info and UPS took it off the table.
As far as your narrow body rates are concerned, it's only not "a significant amount" if you're not on the 757. Both contracts have their good and bad parts. Your 4a.2b thing stinks. Our use of jumpseats and mgt flying is absurd. But bottom line is you bubbas fly the 757 for $25,000/year less than we do.
Do we really want to go there again. Our 4a2b stinks. Not as bad as you furlough protection though.
