Example for a 4-5 year pilot at PSA Airlines
February awarded line for 30% in base. 16 Days Off. Before potentially trading a four day for a 1 day, down to 65 hours credit if desired during Schedule Adjustment Period. Then potentially picking up as many days as liked during the Seniority Award at time and a half.

Now that is just a basic line. The good part is the trading and schedule adjusment. For example during the Schedule Adjustment Period (SAP) at PSA a pilot is awarded this line with 16 days off, and he can drop down to 65 hours credit by trading a 4 day for a 1 day trip. He now has 19 days off, and 65ish hours of credit.

Now the final award has come out after round two of bidding (reserve and buildup lines) and the Seniority Award portion of the contract/schedule bidding has opened. This pilot can now trade his 1 day trip for a four day trip. He can also just pickup a four day trip if he likes working... Let's say he finds a nice 23 hour four day trip which will be credited to his schedule at time and a half with a minimum of four hours at time and half per day. He now has 15 days off crediting 99.5 hours, and that is before the month begins in which he receives block or better leg by leg.

That was a simple example. Pilots at PSA are easily crediting 120 hours a month with more complex trades, and adds. Trading four day trips for all one day trips, or 2 two days. All kinds of combinations. With all the movement lately as well the senior FOs schedules are being dumped into open-time, and the premium flying goes to the junior FOs.
