Found it interesting in today's "Scheduling Matters" from ALPA that for DP's the status of the pilot who actually flew the trip determines whether the trip was "avoided" or not. First time I've ever heard that. So if for some reason someone "accidentally" picks up a DP, he can drop it and hope a reserve gets it and it would still be considered avoided.
