Sure. Because the LUAL pilots realized that time was the enemy. The way the contract negotiations were going, the uncertainty about whether the TPA clause would expire with regards to the new 737-900 deliveries vs. the LUAL 757 parkings, and the blatant attempts by JP of attempting to affect the SLI via Sect 6, all conspired to make most of us realize that we were negotiating against TWO parties instead of 1. Frankly, I am surprised we did as well as we did given those circumstances. While the Widebody Captains probably don't see it that way (the scrum was going on below them in the seniority ranks), the majority of LUAL pilots were keenly aware of what was at stake with LUAL shrinking and LCAL growing.

Thank GOD that's all behind us, the SLI is done (despite what the recent LCAL 6 think they are going to achieve in their lawsuit), and we can start to work TOGETHER towards improvements that benefit us ALL.
